The best place to view the Bald Eagles out on the estuary is at the viewing tent, situated at the foot of our boat launch. Tapadera Social Club will serve refreshments at the gazebo beside a roaring fire.

NOTE** Sonsie the “teaching eagle” will be on site with his handler from O.W.L. each day. To learn more about the incredible work that O.W.L does please visit the website

Spotting scopes will be set up for the public- generously supplied by Celestron

FVBEF is Ready Set GO!

Scopes- check, sites ready- check, speakers- check, salmon-check, EAGLES- CHECK & CHECK!

Over 1500 bald eagles were counted by biologist David Hancock last Saturday on a jet boat tour with Fraser River Safari in the Chehalis Estuary. So come one, come all and explore one of the most amazing spaces in British Columbia. Be sure to dress for the weather as the festival goes rain, shine or snow. However if you need to warm up, we have many excellent indoor activities going on to compliment the outdoor ones.

Update: 2500 eagles counted on the flats today!! What a sight.

While you are exploring the Fraser Valley make sure to watch for our latest rehabilitated eagle “Bella”. She was released today from Kilby Beach and by now we hope has enjoyed a delicious salmon feast courtesy of the Harrison River. Good luck Bella!

2010 Snowbird RV Show a Success!

At the end of September we were proud to be a part of the Snowbird RV Show and Sale, the Valley's largest Recreation Trade Show!

With more than 50 exhibitors and 180,000 square feet of display space, the Show was the one place to see everything from RVs, accessories and gadgets to RV properties, private sales and more. The event catered to everyone from seasoned RVers to those looking for a family getaway as well as weekend warriors looking to learn about the world of opportunities that exist with recreational vehicles.

We were excited to be able to showcase our Recreation Property Listings at Tapadera Estates to thousands of RV'ers looking for a new getaway spot.

We introduced Tapadera Estates to many potential buyers and informed them about all of the great features of the park and were absolutely delighted to see so many residents stop by our booth to say "hello", it's always nice to see a familiar face.

We are happy to announce that we will be showcasing Tapadera Estates again in the New Year at the 2011 Earlybird RV Show & the Chilliwack Humdinger RV Show.

The Van Nes Group is pleased to be hosting an Open House at Tapadera Estates on Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st from 12pm - 4pm.

Tapadera Estates has received a tremendous amount of interest over the Spring and early Summer, so to keep up with all your requests for showings, we have decided to set up at the entrance to this beautiful gated community of RV, Park Model & Cottage Lots, for both Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm!

I hope to see you all there! Please note, as this is a gated community and we may be walking through the complex with clients, you may see the gate unattended, although this is not our intention we will do our best to monitor and pass by the gate every 15 to 20 minutes.
